Getting To Grips With WordPress

by @ 10:59 pm. Filed under Graphics

I’m making changes to the site while trying to read as much as I can about the blogging software itself. I’ve never used anything like this before so it’s all new to me.

I’ve made some changes to the template and edited yesterdays post to replace the image with a thumbnail that shows the larger image when clicked.

I wish I had more time.

HowDo-i Guides

by @ 8:41 pm. Filed under Graphics

There aren’t enough hours in the day to do all the things I want to do. I’m trying to learn how to use this blogging script and at the same time I’m researching, planning and writing HowDo-i Guides, reviews and articles. All this in my spare time.

When I write HowDo-i guides I like to include screen shots for illustration. I used to use Paint Shop Pro (PSP) for grabbing images from parts of my PC screen but PSP loads so slowly and the screen capture feature is not the most user friendly utility you will come across. Besides, PSP isn’t free so that won’t do.

I set out to look for free screen grabber utilities that were easy and quick to use. I found a few but the one that I’ve been using for a few weeks is called ScreenHunter. I’m very happy with this utility as it does it’s job very quickly and efficiently. I shall be writing a review or HowDo-i on this utility in the near future. The HowDo-i Blog Is Here

by @ 4:52 pm. Filed under General

The HowDo-i web site has been online for a year now and it’s time that it received some serious attention. My intention is to convert the site to this Weblog or “Blog”. I’m making this first post to mark the date that work began.

The theme of the HowDo-i site will continue to focus on saving money for you through the use of low cost or no cost software solutions.

All articles and guides on the site have been evaluated by me and in many cases, are used by me on a daily basis. I don’t write about products unless I feel completely comfortable about them.

Steve
